Graphic Design
I don't just make things pretty. I don't decorate. Everything I design has a purpose: to creatively communicate a desired message to a target audience.
Messages I've designed include changing one's perception, encouraging donations, offering instructions, requesting a sale, clarifying misconceptions, praising goods and services, generating excitement, peaking curiosity, simplifying detailed information, conveying thanks, drawing attention to incentives, announcing news, and providing help, among many others.
Audiences I've reached include customers, potential customers, employers, end users, business-to-business contacts, donors, teenage through senior years, professionals, students, volunteers, employees … the list goes on.
Photography
As a photographer, I capture excitement and intensity in live action performances and events to convey the energy present in that moment. I also reflect the essence of people in commercial/business headshot portraiture. All in all, I aim to portray the mood of an environment, event, or person.
Events I've photographed include live theatrical performances, music concerts, fashion shows, sporting events, drag performers, networking events, parties, costumed revelers, dancers, and large and small groups of people experiencing everything from farmer's markets to outdoor festivals to Halloween antics.
My experience working at a talent agency for many years sharpens my skill of photographing headshots for actors and professionals. Using only natural or available light, I photograph with the intent of providing the actor with a photograph that will book them jobs for commercial and print shoots in the Midwest market. This same type of portraiture also works well for business professionals in need of a headshot.
